In July, we made the decision to close our Lakewood office in the Ina building on Detroit Ave in Lakewood. Why would we do that after Myers Insurance was there for years? The biggest reason was due to parking. That large building was serviced by a parking garage located directly behind it. Unfortunately, this spring, the parking garage was condemned until necessary repairs were made to the structure. The repairs were extensive and the timeline for completion was very long.
Our agents had a very difficult time finding adequate parking accommodations nearby, as did our single client who regularly visited that office to pay her bill. You read that right. One Walk-in Client. The rest of our clientele, encouraged by the pandemic, had switched to phone or electronic means to transact their business. After much debate, the decision was made to non-renew our lease for the space.
Since then, our Cleveland agents have been working from home, aided by our service center in Akron, OH. Rest assured, while we aren’t sitting at a desk in that building, we are still hard at work to ensure that your policy and claims servicing continues without interruption. Unless it’s after hours or we are ALL on the phone, a human being will always answer your call. If you require an in-person meeting, we have access to meeting spaces both near Downtown Cleveland, as well as at the offices of Blue Ridge Media Company in Lakewood.
